Wayne Gretzky, widely regarded as ice hockey’s greatest ever
player, was invited to Tottenham’s League Cup tie with Arsenal at White
Hart Lane on Wednesday night.
The club very kindly gave the Canadian star a Spurs shirt with his name on it – except it wasn’t his name at all.
Whoever was in charge of printing the shirt had misspelt Gretzky’s
name so it read ‘Gretsky’ but he was far too polite to inform them
before posing for a picture with Ledley King.
You can tell by the look on his face that he absolutely knew about the blunder…
Tottenham uploaded a photo of King handing the shirt to Gretzky to Twitter before the tweet was swiftly taken down.

A must READ - Good morning said a woman as she walked up to the man sitting on the ground. The man slowly looked up.
This was a woman clearly accustomed to the finer things of life. Her
coat was new.. She looked like she had never missed a meal in her life.
His first thought was that she wanted to make fun of him, like so many
others had done before.. "Leave me alone," he growled....
To his amazement, the woman continued standing. She was smiling -- her even white teeth displayed in dazzling rows. "Are you hungry?" she asked. "No," he answered sarcastically. "I've just come from dining with the president. Now go away." The woman's smile became even broader. Suddenly the man felt a gentle hand under his arm. "What are you doing, lady?" the man asked angrily. "I said to leave me alone. Just then a policeman came up. "Is there any problem, ma'am?" he asked.. "No problem here, officer," the woman answered. "I'm just trying to get this man to his feet. Will you help me?"
The officer scratched his head. "That's old Jack. He's been a fixture
around here for a couple of years. What do you want with him?" "See that cafeteria over there?" she asked. "I'm going to get him something to eat and get him out of the cold for awhile."
"Are you crazy, lady?" the homeless man resisted. "I don't want to go
in there!" Then he felt strong hands grab his other arm and lift him up.
"Let me go, officer. I didn't do anything." "This is a good deal for you, Jack" the officer answered. "Don't blow it.."
Finally, and with some difficulty, the woman and the police officer got
Jack into the cafeteria and sat him at a table in a remote corner. It
was the middle of the morning, so most of the breakfast crowd had
already left and the lunch bunch had not yet arrived... The manager
strode across the cafeteria and stood by his table. "What's going on
here, officer?" he asked. "What is all this, is this man in trouble?" "This lady brought this man in here to be fed," the policeman answered. "Not in here!" the manager replied angrily. "Having a person like that here is bad for business.."
Old Jack smiled a toothless grin. "See, lady. I told you so. Now if
you'll let me go. I didn't want to come here in the first place."
The woman turned to the cafeteria manager and smiled....... "Sir, are
you familiar with Eddy and Associates, the banking firm down the
street?" "Of course I am," the manager answered impatiently. "They hold their weekly meetings in one of my banquet rooms." "And do you make a godly amount of money providing food at these weekly meetings?" "What business is that of yours?" I, sir, am Penelope Eddy, president and CEO of the company." "Oh."
The woman smiled again. "I thought that might make a difference." She
glanced at the cop who was busy stifling a giggle. "Would you like to
join us in a cup of coffee and a meal, officer?" "No thanks, ma'am," the officer replied. "I'm on duty." "Then, perhaps, a cup of coffee to go?" "Yes, ma’am. That would be very nice." The cafeteria manager turned on his heel, "I'll get your coffee for you right away, officer." The officer watched him walk away. "You certainly put him in his place," he said. "That was not my intent. Believe it or not, I have a reason for all this." She sat down at the table across from her amazed dinner guest. She stared at him intently.. "Jack, do you remember me?" Old Jack searched her face with his old, rheumy eyes. "I think so -- I mean you do look familiar."
"I'm a little older perhaps," she said. "Maybe I've even filled out
more than in my younger days when you worked here, and I came through
that very door, cold and hungry." "Ma'am?" the officer said
questioningly. He couldn't believe that such a magnificently turned out
woman could ever have been hungry. "I was just out of college," the
woman began. "I had come to the city looking for a job, but I couldn't
find anything. Finally I was down to my last few cents and had been
kicked out of my apartment. I walked the streets for days. It was
February and I was cold and nearly starving. I saw this place and walked
in on the off chance that I could get something to eat."
Jack
lit up with a smile. "Now I remember," he said.. "I was behind the
serving counter. You came up and asked me if you could work for
something to eat. I said that it was against company policy." "I
know," the woman continued. "Then you made me the biggest roast beef
sandwich that I had ever seen, gave me a cup of coffee, and told me to
go over to a corner table and enjoy it. I was afraid that you would get
into trouble... Then, when I looked over and saw you put the price of my
food in the cash register, I knew then that everything would be all
right." "So you started your own business?" Old Jack said. "I
got a job that very afternoon. I worked my way up. Eventually I started
my own business that, with the help of God, prospered." She opened her
purse and pulled out a business card.. "When you are finished here, I
want you to pay a visit to a Mr. Lyons...He's the personnel director of
my company. I'll go talk to him now and I'm certain he'll find something
for you to do around the office." She smiled. "I think he might even
find the funds to give you a little advance so that you can buy some
clothes and get a place to live until you get on your feet... If you
ever need anything, my door is always opened to you."
There were tears in the old man's eyes. "How can I ever thank you?" he said. "Don't thank me," the woman answered. "To God goes the glory. Thank Jesus...... He led me to you." Outside the cafeteria, the officer and the woman paused at the entrance before going their separate ways.... "Thank you for all your help, officer," she said.
"On the contrary, Ms. Eddy," he answered. "Thank you. I saw a miracle
today, something that I will never forget. And.. And thank you for the
coffee."
God is going to shift things around for you today and let things work in your favor.

birthday revealed in an interview with BBC that the secret to her
longevity is whiskey.
"I don't drink but I have a little drop of whiskey every night," she said.
She is the oldest person in the county and has received her sixth card
from the Queen. Despite her old age, Jones said apart from hearing loss,
she feels about the same as she did in her sixties.
Keeping Up With The Kardashians beauty Kylie Jenner made a rare outing minus her make-up on Monday - and looked better than ever.
The
star ditched her usual long hair extensions, golden glow and thick slap
as she made a trip to a car dealership in Calabasas, Los Angeles.
Instead, Kylie looked totally natural with her short dark hair tied back into a messy ponytail.
We’re
used to seeing the 18-year-old in tight work out gear, thigh-skimming
skirts and plunging tops, but the 18-year-old swapped her usual
super-glamorous wardrobe for a laid back look.
Rocking jeans, a white Glastonbury T-shirt with her brother-in-law's
name listed on the back and white Adidas trainers, Kylie looked cool and
casual as she carried dog Norman in her arms.
The reality babe
was joined by her other half rapper Tyga who failed to raise a smile as
he made his way through the car lot with his girlfriend.
The Portuguese is said to be ready to leave the Bernabeu next summer with United ready to go toe-to-toe with PSG to land him
Manchester United are on red alert amid claims Cristiano Ronaldo could be set to leave Real Madrid next summer.
Ronaldo is said to be ready for a new challenge next summer after seven years at Madrid following his then world record £80million move from United in 2009.
United
are desperate to bring Ronaldo back to Old Trafford to see out the rest
of his career, but face competition to sign him from Paris St Germain, who will pay what it takes to land him.
It
is understood Real would want a new world record fee of £90m for
Ronaldo next summer, believing his phenomenal scoring record and global
status would justify such a high asking price.
But sources close
to the Ronaldo camp believe a more realistic figure for the double
Ballon d’Or winner, who will turn 31 in February, would be around the
£70m mark, given his age.
United have twice tried to lure Ronaldo back to Old Trafford since
his move to Real and are ready to make it third time lucky next summer
should their former No.7 make it clear he is ready to move on.
The
Reds would be willing to meet Ronaldo’s £15m-a-year wage demands, on
top of the fee, knowing the commercial revenue his return would
generate, allied to his influence on the pitch, would more than offset
such a huge outlay.
Despite his past history and emotional bond with United, however, it
is understood Ronaldo would favour a move to PSG next summer, should he
decide the time is right to leave Real.
But that would not stop
United making a concerted effort to woo back one of the greatest players
in their illustrious history, one still missed by their fans and whose
name is still sung by the United
Ronaldo has scored a remarkable 321 goals in 305 appearances for Real
and is on the brink of eclisping the club record of 323, held by
legendary striker and former skipper Raul.
He could achieve that
as early as tomorrow, against Athletic Bilbao, having already plundered
eight goals in five games for Real this season, including five in a 6-0
win over Espanyol.
But there is a growing feeling Ronaldo could
be ready to end his seven-year association with Real next year, which
would spark a major transfer battle involving United and PSG, one the
Reds would be desperate to win.

The music producer is reportedly dating former contestant Samantha Johnson and 'gets a kick' out of the similarities
Nick Cannon has moved on from Mariah Carey - and his new gal looks VERY familiar.
According to reports, the music producer is dating former America's Got Talent contestant Samantha Johnson.
That would be the same Samantha who looks the spit of Nick's soon-to-be ex-wife Mariah.
A source close to the pair has revealed that Nick not only recognises the similarities, he also gets a kick out of them.
The insider told Star magazine: "Nick obsesses over how much Samantha resembles his ex.
"He has gotten a kick out of comparing their smiles."
Samantha shot into the public eye earlier this year when she wowed on
the talent show after singing Aretha Franklin's hit A Natural Woman.
She
was later eliminated in the semi-finals earlier this month but managed
to make a lasting impression on the contest - not to mention garner a
few comparisons to Mariah.
We have contacted Nick's reps for a comment.
Nick and Mariah married in 2008 and announced their separation in 2014.
Mariah has since bagged herself a new billionaire boyfriend in James Packer and recently spoke about how much 'fun' the romance is.

France has pledged to support Nigeria with equipment and
intelligence gathering in its counter-terrorism operations and other
forms of extremism in the north-east.
President
François Hollande made the pledge at a joint press conference at the
Elysee Palace, with visiting President Muhammadu Buhari, who is on a
three-day working visit to Paris.
The French President also said
his administration would support the Multinational Joint Task Force
(MNJTF), saying that the fight against Boko Haram and Islamic State
jihadists is the same battle.
The MNJTF is the almost 9,000-strong force constituted by Nigeria, Chad, Cameroon and Benin to fight the Boko Haram sect.
He
warned that Boko Haram had expanded “after declaring its loyalty to
IS”, emphasising that the jihadists’ alliance, announced in March, had
given the Nigerian terrorist group “a source of material resources”.
“We know Boko Haram is linked to Daesh and so receives help, support from this group,” Hollande said.
“To fight Boko Haram is to fight Daesh, and we can no longer single out terrorism according to regions.
“It is the same terrorism, inspired by the same ideology of death,” the French leader stated.
Mr
Hollande said his government was concerned about the increasing spate
of insecurity in Nigeria and West Africa and was ready to render support
in tackling extremism.
The French President discussion with
President Buhari also looked at new strategies of partnership that would
enable Nigeria and its neighbouring countries – Cameroon, Chad, Niger
and Benin Republic – through the joint action of the MNJTF, fight the
insurgency and restore the peace.
He said: “We provide all of the
support to the countries in the region which are affected by this cult
and in Nigeria; we want to provide support and solidarity”.
Thanking
Mr Buhari for his recent actions towards defeating terror, Hollande
said France had concluded arrangements to invest 130 million Euros in
the development of infrastructure in Nigeria for rebuilding of roads,
provision of electricity and water supply. Greatly Blessed Nation
President
Buhari thanked the French government for its interest in assisting
Nigeria and expressed readiness of his administration to partner with
France.
He said that Nigeria’s next shopping list for support would move to other members of the G7.
“We have to depend on France and the other G7 countries for support to fight piracy.
“Our
next shopping list is going to G7 in terms of intelligence and
training. Another problem is the problem in the Gulf of Guinea, from
Senegal to Angola, that area is endowed with resources like petroleum
and other minerals but surrounded by piracy and theft.
“We are going to depend on France and the G7 countries to flush these criminals out of the region.
“More
than 67 per cent of our youths and most of them under their youthful
age are unemployed. We are finding best way in Agriculture and mining to
address this before sophisticated infrastructure and security, are
provided,” the Nigerian President said.
Wooing investors in a
meeting on Monday, President Buhari said there was more to Nigeria than
just oil exploration, stressing that the Nigeria is greatly blessed with
lands rich in agricultural and mineral resources coupled with skilled
and low-cost labour, large market, robust and competitive private
sector, stressing that the areas remained largely untapped.
He
also stated that other critical areas, such as agriculture, energy,
automobile and skill development needed to be expanded to provide jobs
for the youths.
President Muhammadu Buhari on Tuesday, said that his
administration will do all within its powers to sustain Nigeria’s
position as the number one investment destination in Africa.
According
to a statement from the Nigerian President’s office, President Buhari
told entrepreneurs in Paris that “with a blessed land rich in
agricultural and mineral resources, skilled and low-cost labour, large
market, a robust and competitive private sector anchored on investment
policies and legislation to guarantee predictability and consistency
with global business practices, we are poised for double digit growth”. “Industrialising Nigeria”
“There
is much more to our country than oil and we are determined to
consolidate on industrialising Nigeria and diversifying its economy.
“The
privatisation of key sectors of our economy, which started under
previous administrations, will be pursued and expanded to include other
sectors. This exercise will be conducted in an open, transparent and
competitive manner.
“We recognise the private sector as the engine
of growth and a veritable partner in our economic agenda and will
therefore, give the fullest possible support to foreign and domestic
entrepreneurs.
“Our administration is poised to redress the
serious infrastructural gaps in Nigeria, raise production to create more
jobs, build capital and stimulate further growth and prosperity of the
country,” the Nigerian President stressed.
The President said that
one of the key objectives of his administration’s ongoing economic
reforms was to restore the confidence of investors in the Nigerian
economy.
Addressing leading French businessmen and investors at
the headquarters of the Movement of the Enterprises of France (MEDEF),
President Buhari also reaffirmed his government’s determination to curb
corruption in Nigeria.
“Our ongoing economic reforms are designed
to restore business confidence and block leakages and wastage of public
resources. We are also focused on the recovery of stolen wealth
belonging to the country,” the Nigerian leader told participants in a
Nigeria/France Investment Forum.
The President of MEDEF, Pierre
Gattaz, announced that the umbrella organisation of about 800,000 French
manufacturing firms and businesses will undertake a trade mission to
Nigeria next month.
Mr Gattaz said that the MEDEF trade delegation
would comprise of prospective investors in agriculture, mining,
automobiles, energy, skills development, light manufacturing, food
processing, transportation services and many other areas.
The new strategies being employed by the military in
counter-terrorism operations in Nigeria’s north-east have started
yielding positive results, with scores of terrorists surrendering to
troops.

Nigeria’s Vice President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo, says
the harmonisation of efforts between regional communities and the
African Union Peace and Security Council will help Africa tackle its
security challenges.
Professor
Osinbajo made the statement on Monday while addressing representatives
of regional economic communities at the African Union Security Council
meeting held in Abuja.
He said that re-establishing peace,
security and stability in the African continent was achievable if
regional attention would focus on early warning and the use of effective
conflict resolution mechanism.
According to him, Africa should
first harmonise efforts between regional communities and the African
Union Peace and Security Council before seeking help from the outside
world.
Professor Osinbajo said Africa was in a season of
conflicts, with recurring crisis and relapses that needed to be checked
through stronger and closer regional collaboration.
The Vice
President of Nigeria stressed that key areas required collective
attention and decisive action for peace to gradually return to the
continent.
Channels Television’s correspondent, Omelogo Nnadi,
said the meeting considering how to establish peace and stability in the
African continent was aimed at mapping out ways to enhance effective
cooperation between the African Union Peace and Security Council and
regional economic communities in the promotion of peace, security and
stability in Africa.
The meeting came at a time of recurring conflicts across Africa.
At
the meeting decision makers in security looked at practical measures
that would ensure that African leaders pulled resources and efforts
together to solve their common problem.
While Africa has been
referred to by many as a continent of crises, key players at the meeting
– the Chairman of the AU Peace and Security Council meeting, Professor
Ibrahim Gambari and the Permanent representative of Nigeria to the AU,
Ambassador Usman Baraya – disagreed, stressing that Africa must now
address its problems on a regional level first before soliciting or
accepting help from outside the continent.
In West Africa, Nigeria
and other neighbouring countries in the Lake Chad Basin have polled
security forces together to tackle the Boko Haram terrorists group that
had launched attacks on communities in Cameroon, Chad Niger and
Nigeria.
Besides this collaboration with the African Union emphasized at the meeting, there are also efforts at the sub regional
level supervised by ECOWAS commission to ensure security of lives and
property in the region.
There is also an African standby force set
aside for humanitarian intervention but these cannot yield the expected
result without strong coordination and cooperation among all nations in
Africa who share common problems and challenges
On September 28, a natural phenomenon known as a supermoon and blood moon will turn the moon a deep crimson - the culmination of a month of stunning astronomical events.
As well as a lunar eclipse (which blocks the moon out completely) there was also the second solar eclipse of the year that took place over the weekend.
Sadly,
for armchair astronomers here in Blighty, it was only a partial solar
eclipse and was only viewable in parts of southern Africa and
Antarctica.
But, thanks to global social media, many people have been able to share their images of the event.
We'll have to wait until March 9, 2016 for the next solar eclipse,
and then it will only be visible in Asia, Australia and parts of the
Pacific.
Here in the UK, we'll be watching the night sky on September 28 for our first look at the blood moon.
Fans of the Twilight books are already familiar with this term, but alas it has nothing to do with blood sucking vampires.
In fact a blood moon is a rather spectacular sight caused by the reflection of sunlight on the Earth's atmosphere - which is red to the naked eye.
The
blood moon acquires a golden, copper, or even rusty-red color depending
on where the sun is - and it's usually low in the sky or near the
horizon.

A little advice : do not call, we repeat, do not call back his ex Rihanna with your perfume.
The singer visited the macy's in Brooklyn on August 31, to celebrate the release of her perfume Huey (you probably remember the poster, stylish, inspired by Marilyn Monroe in the last month). E! news has met the beautiful Barbadian to have the scoop on this fragrance in the fall, and she talked of the smell of a surprising way, but very fair.
"[The smell] is something that connects you to a particular time, a place, a person. At one point, I had a makeup artist who was wearing the perfume that I put on with a g. "I said to him : "Stop. I know exactly what you carry. Do not deliver tomorrow, because I don't want to think about it"," quipped the star. (We can't blame him, though ?) "What I want is to create good memories, I hope, for the young women. I want them to feel carefree with this perfume. This fragrance, it is the good mood and the flirtation inspired by these young women," she continues.
Rihanna attends the launch party of her perfume in a pink outfit similar to that of the advertising campaign. With her hair impressive and his lips stained, the singer looked stunning in an outfit among the more girly than she has ever worn (outside of her dress cupcake). As for the scent of the Huey, it is certain that none of its former recognition.
